Summertime seems to be behind us already. A lot of new plugins and themes are coming to the market. But in terms of page builders (Breakdance, Bricks builder), there are a few things in motion.
Want to test something quickly? Install WordPress for free for 48 hours at tastewp.com
Professionally I have to test a lot of themes but especially plugins for WordPress. And of course, I don’t want to do that on a (live) production site.
Then it’s handy to just try something out without doing a full server setup. And that’s where tastewp.com comes in. Just click, and 10 seconds later, you’ve got a fully functioning WordPress site on which you can experiment to your heart’s content.Â
Gravity Forms 2.7: Coming Soon!
Form templates at your fingertips
A long-awaited feature, 2.7 brings a new built-in form template library to Gravity Forms. The pre-made, fully customizable form templates help you get started in minutes or can be used as a springboard for more complex form builds.
Form styling made easy.
Designing your forms is much easier with a new theme framework and block styling options. 2.7 comes with a theme framework called Orbital that paves the way for easier customization of form looks and ensures Gravity Forms is all set for the future of WordPress.
The beta is expected to launch very soon.
Keep an eye on the blog for the final release date.
Also, Seopress has a new version: 5.9
But I had expected something more . Below the extra’s :
- GA4 stats in dashboard widget: You can finally visualize your analytics stats directly from your WordPress dashboard! Go to SEO, Analytics, Google Analytics, and Stats in the dashboard section to enter your GA4 property ID and see them: visitors, sessions, page views, and more.
- HTML Sitemap block for the block editor: Add an HTML sitemap to your page with the /sitemap command from the editor. From the block panel, you can determine what types of messages should be shown and change the appearance of the message.
- AMP compatibility: Support for the AMP WordPress plugin with SEOPress (but who still uses AMP ????)
And that’s it. Wouldn’t a 5.8.5 have been better than a new 5.9? For more info: check out the announcement on the SEOpress blog.
The best youtube channels for (aspiring) designers
Whether you’re looking for comprehensive tutorials on UX design or professional courses on topics like logo design, and video or photo editing, there’s always the perfect YouTube channel for you as a designer.
The great thing about YouTube is that you don’t have to be a professional to follow a video tutorial and gain the necessary knowledge. There are many people who have become experts in, say, Photoshop by watching many hours of YouTube videos.
In 2022, there are established and emerging channels that you can use as a designer to find inspiration and solve problems in your work process.
